Trae Young 2017 MOKAN Guard
Young continued his amazing streak of great games at the Point on Saturday with two big time performances. The most impressive was Saturday night when Trae Young showed how much he has improved as a complete player. Young rattled off phenomenal numbers posting a triple-double with 19 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. It is worth pointing out Young led MOKAN to a 39 point victory over Team United with Micheal Porter out with injury.
Collin Sexton 2017 Southern Stampede Guard
Sexton is not ranked nationally by many scouts, but that will change very soon. Sexton is leading the EYBL in points per game. Saturday, Sexton continued his masterful scoring with 33 points against Howard Pulley and 30 points against Boo Williams. Simply, Sexton gets buckets in every phase of the game. He can beat you from deep, but really excels off the dribble. The quickness of Sexton makes him very tough to handle.
Gary Trent Jr. 2017 Howard Pulley Guard
Trent was unreal good in the opening game on Saturday draining 15 of 31 shots for 46 points. He would not let Howard Pulley go down leading them to a tough win over Southern Stampede. Trent followed up his morning performance with a solid 20 point outing in an overtime win against California Supreme. Trent is a long guard with the ability to score the basketball in so many different ways. He has fantastic upside.
Brad Davison 2017 Howard Pulley Guard
Davison had the best game of his EYBL career Saturday evening and Howard Pulley needed everything he gave them to keep their undefeated record. Davison’s numbers jump off the page with 37 points, 8 rebounds, 9 assists and 2 steals. He had ice in his veins hitting three straight free-throws to give Howard Pulley the victory with .9 on the clock in overtime. Davison is so tough on the floor willing to give everything he has for a win. Davison is a deadeye three-point shooter with sharp vision the ball in his hands.
DeAndre Ayton 2017 California Supreme Post
Ayton is widely regarded by many as the top player in the 2017 Class. He showed why in his two games on Saturday. Aston averaged 23 points, 15 rebounds, 6 assists and nearly 4 blocks on Saturday. He is a bully in the paint with a high basketball IQ. One thing about Ayton every college coach will love outside of his skills he is always making the extra effort on both ends of the floor.
Victor Enoh 2017 CP3 Post
Enoh was a MAN inside for CP3. No, Enoh does not have numbers that will jump off the page at you. However, he does so many terrific things that many look for in a power forward. He is very physical in the paint, good motor, tough as nails, rebounds the ball well and does the small things. Enoh knows his role on a very good CP3 squad and plays it masterfully. Another thing that stuck out about Enoh was his constant hustle on the floor.
Wendell Carter 2017 CP3 Post
Carter continues to prove his dominance in the paint each time he steps on the floor. He made it look easy Saturday scoring the ball very efficiently around the rim. Carter shot 7 of 8 in the early game and 6 of 9 in the second game. Carter makes great post moves that allow him to get such fantastic looks around the rim. It doesn’t take long to watch Carter and know he is the real deal.
