He stands at 6’7 using his quickness to reek havoc on the opponent in the paint. Rodriguez has been dominant on the boards nearly cracking the top 10 on the Under Armour Circuit. Rodriguez says his older brother is a big reason for his success rebounding the basketball.
“Mostly my brother and my high school coaches telling me how important it is to crash the board every time,” Rodriguez said.
Rodriguez is looking to continue to improve his game in all aspects over the summer. He has big goals to become a better overall stretch four.
“This summer I want to expand my game. increase my range, improve my handles, make smarter plays overall, and hit the weight room a lot more and a lot harder,” Rodriguez said.
Houston Baptist is a new school to Rodriguez, but he is researching the University since their offer. He is very interested in what Houston Baptist has to offer.
“I don’t know much about it yet,” Rodriguez said. “But I have done some research and their campus and business program looks great. It is an amazing feeling knowing that all the hard work in the gym has been paying off.”
Rodriguez knows exactly what he is looking for in a school at the next level. There are three things he pointed out that will end up deciding where he plays college basketball.
“The top 3 things I am looking for is the team that has a family like feel to it where the players and the coaches are close,” Rodriguez said. “Their business program is another thing I look at and the last thing I look for is what city it is in so I could be able to have a good college experience.”
