The 6-foot-4 rising senior has been an important part of his team on both ends of the floor. Widely regarded as a potent offensive threat, he’s also been getting it done on the defensive end this spring.
Clarance, who is a native of Sweden, has played basketball for about 10 years. He says he just started taking it seriously 6 years ago. He’s a high energy, left-handed guard who can score and create at a high level. A talented scorer from a variety of areas, he likes to attack the rim.
“I’m aggressive, explosive,” Clarance began. “I try not to take any possessions off. I like to do it on both ends. That’s how I get going.”
An underrated defender, Elijah truly believes he is capable of locking up just about anyone. He’ll need to improve his understanding of pace and being a better floor leader. But he admits those are two things he’s really focusing on moving forward.
“A lot of schools are recruiting me right now,” Clarance stated. “Xavier, West Virginia, Virginia, Maryland.”
He took an unofficial visit to Saint Joe’s earlier this spring, but states that he likely won’t take any more until after the July live period. He’s in good academic standing at his high school in Hagerstown, St. Maria Goretti, with a solid 3.1 GPA. Look for his recruitment to heat up towards the latter part of the summer.
