He’s been hearing from several schools since we last talked with him last winter, including; Queens University of Charlotte, Malone University (OH), Centre College, Taylor University (IN), Kentucky State, Catawba College (NC), Rose-Holman (IN), and Shawnee State.
He’s starting to add to his list of interested schools as his 17U season wears on, and says there is one school in particular that’s most interested.
“All the schools that were interested in me are still interested. I’ve picked up a couple new schools too, they’re in Minnesota. They’ve invited me up to their elite camps and they want me to come play against their guys,” said Miller.
“I don’t know if any of them are really close to offering me. But I think the closest one would be Shawnee State, and I like that it there; it’s a really good school.”
The 5-foot-10 point guard says his recruitment is priority number one right now.
“It’s a really big deal to me, and I just hope to gain some interest and get some schools who like me and will offer me to come play at the next level,” said Miller, who explained to PHK where he’s seen the most improvements with his game.
“I think I’ve progressed on my jump shot a little bit. In high school my percentages were up from last year and in AAU so far too. I think my ball-handling has gotten a lot better, and I think my footwork has gotten better too.”
This spring and summer the talented floor general is again playing with Team Manimal Black. He says his role is to be a true point guard.
“My role is really to be a true point guard a distribute the ball because we have a lot of scorers. So I need to just get the ball to people and not turn the ball over,” said Miller.
“I really just want to produce to where schools are looking at me, and try and get as many colleges interested in me as possible.”
