Oklahoma State Tournament Friday Night Spotlight Game
The Prep Hoops Oklahoma tournament kicks off on Friday night with teams from 11U through 17U in action. Tonight we spotlight the biggest game of the night. The match up is a highly anticipated match up between two top five 16U teams in Oklahoma.
Team Griffin EYBL 16U squad will take on OKC Primetime 16U in the 17U bracket on Friday night at 6:30. This one should be a great game to kick off pool play. Let’s breakdown the game.
Key Players
Micah Thomas 2019 Team Griffin PG
Thomas had a great freshmen season at Putnam City North landing in the starting lineup on a State Tournament team. He is a scorer at the Point in all three phases of the game. Thomas has played up an age group his entire life. It will help Thomas tremendously as he progresses through high school. This weekend Team Griffin will lean on Thomas to be a key scorer from the guard spot. Thomas can get heat up from behind the arc in a hurry.
Will Graham 2018 OKC Primetime PG
Graham is a very skilled undersized Point Guard for OKC Primetime. His stock has continued to rise throughout the spring as the floor general for OKC Primetime. He has led OKC Primetime to several victories over shoe circuit teams and will attempt to grab another win on Friday night. Graham does a great job of creating off the dribble for himself and teammates. Graham led OKC Primetime to the Prep Hoops Oklahoma State Tournament Title a year ago and landed MVP honors.
Game Changers
Damoriea Vick 2018 Team Griffin SF
Vick has the opportunity to come up big for Team Griffin. He will playing against his former AAU team. Vick has great size on the wing and has started to tap into his potential on the court. Vick could come up big with a strong performance not just offensively, but on the defensive end as well.
DJ Walter 2018 OKC Primetime SG
Walter is one of the most under the radar guards in the 2018 Oklahoma Class. He has great size at 6’4 and is still growing. Walter has a smooth and beautiful jumper from the outside. If he can get going Friday night he certainly has the chance to be a Game Changer.
The game between Team Griffin EYBL 16U and OKC Primetime 16U will tip at 6:30 at Midwest City High School Court 2.
