Nero got going early in the game with three huge three-pointers to keep Team Griffin in the game. In the second half Wilson strung together four possessions of instant offense. Nero finished the game similar to how he started catching fire when Team Griffin needed it the most late in the second half.
With the ball in his hands Nero is great at creating openings on offense. What makes Nero special is his ability to score in all three phases of the game. On Friday, Nero started the game shooting great from three-point range. Late in the second half it was another pair of three-pointers that ignited his run. However, this time around Nero used a nice pump fake and his quickness to slash to the rim. He is able to maneuver through traffic in the paint and finish strong. Opponents must be careful with Nero because it only takes one shot to get him going. Nero has an offer from UNC Greensboro with interest from other Division I programs.
Wilson is a deadeye three-point shooter with nice handles for Team Griffin. In the second half Wilson provided a huge spark for Team Griffin off the bench. He is able to effect the game in many ways, but is certainly a player that has proved he can be counted on to put points on the board. The physical build of Wilson allows him to attack the defense and handle contact well. Wilson took the responsibilities of guarding Collin Sexton the leading scorer in the EYBL. Sexton got his points, but Wilson made him work for each basket he scored on him. Wilson has an offer from Bucknell with several other Division I programs showing interest.
