Prep Hoops Oklahoma releases the final set of rankings for the month of May today with the 15U team rankings. Several teams made movement in the top five this month.
1. BTR (Below The Rim)
Below The Rim has had a terrific spring defeating multiple shoe teams at various tournaments across the country. The younger squads for BTR have made a name for themselves in several national rankings. However, it should be noted both of their high school teams are in the top five rankings in Oklahoma. BTR is a program that does things the right way. The latest action for BTR was in the Prep Hoops Oklahoma State Tournament. BTR played up in the 16U age group and fell in bracket play.
2. Tulsa Hawks
The Tulsa Hawks move up to the second rankings in the Oklahoma after winning the Prep Hoops Oklahoma State Tournament. Andrew Crow led the attack for the Hawks as they continue to make noise. Over the spring the Tulsa Hawks have dispatched multiple shoe teams in route to tournament victories.
3. PWP Red
The PWP Red squad features the OKC group for the Under Armour Association squad in Oklahoma. The team is led by Hunter Staton anchoring the middle with great size. Recently, PWP Red knocked off PWP Black (Tulsa) in a Dallas tournament final by one. Both squads have multiple lethal weapons throughout their lineups.
4. PWP Black
PWP Black comes in right behind the Red squad, but certainly has a great resume when you look at what they have been able to do. Early in the year PWP Black struggled, but has since found their grove reeling off several big wins.
5. Team 4 XIII
Team 4 XIII comes in at five in May’s rankings, but you could certainly make the case for them to be a little higher. They run an outstanding program that is led by Ada standout Kobe Burgess. He will be a name to know for the future. Burgess might be the best overall player in the 2019 Oklahoma Class. Team 4 XIII plays very unselfish brand of basketball, which is a big key to their success.
