Continue ReadingSpring is a scary time for unsigned seniors, but 2016 wing forward Kenyi Bryant (Doss High) is making the most of his mounting opportunities.
“Parkland College (IL) is coming in to see me tomorrow at Iroquis (High School),” said Bryant to PrepHoops.com Tuesday afternoon. “They are going to watch me.”
Tomorrow the Seventh Annual Metro Exposure Camp kicks off at Iroquois High. According to promotional literature, in the previous six years over 40 kids have earned a scholarship after participating in the workout.
“Last year there were over 45 college coaches in attendance,” said a Metro Exposure Camp representative.
Bryant hopes to add a few new offers from the event.
The 6-foot-4 wing is very bouncy. He can hop over defenders and finish in traffic. His main shortcoming is consistency. Bryant can make the brilliant play and then go missing for a few minutes. College coaches will be watching intently Wednesday and hopefully Bryant impresses.
Kenyi Bryant School List
In addition to Parkland College and the other schools Bryant will perform for tomorrow, Bryant is hearing from Upper Room Christian School (NYC). URCS Head Coach Tom Femminella is entering his second season at the helm. Recently he helped produce a D1 player in Gabe Brown (American University), the first ever from Ward Melville High School.
At this point Bryant believes he will pick either a junior college or a prep school. There is also a prep school in Maryland interested.
“I am trying to pick by early June, mid- or early June,” said Bryant.
