Baumann, a 6’5” junior guard, wasn’t hesitant to say he wasn’t pleased by the outcome of the Thunder’s season. Most would assume the others in the program had the same feelings.
“(The) season was disappointing with the amount of talent we had,” started Noah. “(We just) couldn’t put it together.”
Baumann sat the majority of the season so was forced to watch the ups and downs on the sideline. While it was tough on him he was forced to learn mentally as he worked hard to return from to the floor.
“I learned mentally to work hard and not get down on myself.”
During the on court hiatus, Noah also stated that he was able to improve his quickness and gain muscle.
A sizey guard with a good feel for the game, Baumann has the ability to play multiple positions on the offensive end. He’s very good in transition and has great court vision allowing him to be a playmaker for those around him. He also shoots it very well making him a perimeter threat in the halfcourt.
Noah is playing with Powerhouse Hoops Black on the travel circuit in hopes of garnering interest from college coaches. At this point Northeastern University is the only program to reach out but expect that to change in the near future.
Baumann has already given thought to what he is looking for in a program at the next level.
“A program that will develop me as a man and my basketball skills.”
While he’s not sure when he’ll make a decision, Noah remains humble in his approach.
“If I’m blessed to get college offers, I’ll take my time.”
