Maleke Hall 2016 John Marshall Shooting Guard
Hall was the surprise of the day scoring the ball at an extremely high level. He did everything on Sunday for his squad including a poster dunk. Hall dominated getting to the rim at will. Sunday, Hall made sure everyone took notice of his talents.
Ryan Ross 2016 Velma-Alma Guard
Ross had a terrific tournament for Velma-Alma at State. He followed up on Sunday with a great showing. He may have played small school basketball in Oklahoma, but without a doubt he can play at the next level. NAIA colleges should give Ross a hard look. He is great at getting to the basket and finishing through contact. Ross could add a lot to an NAIA program.
Nikolas Williams 2019 Moore Guard
Williams has a bright future on the hardwood. He is a combo guard that played varsity minutes for Moore this season. You can tell with Williams that he has the talent. He shows his youth at times, but has flashes of excellence. Keep a close eye on Williams as he progresses through high school.
Kade Hileman 2016 El Reno Forward
Hileman was a monster in the paint for his team. He blocked shots left and right just as he had all season for El Reno. Hileman is a little raw offensively, but has continued to show improvement. He is one of the best big men remaining in the 2016 Oklahoma Class.
Karl Madison II 2016 Mustang Shooting Guard
Madison has a high basketball IQ on the floor. He handled the ball fairly well and shot it with confidence. Madison was a role player for Mustang on a loaded Broncos squad the last two years. But he could turn into a really nice player at the next level with his ability to effect the game in so many ways.
Evan Whitt 2016 Empire Shooting Guard
Whitt played for a small school, which is the reason he has gone unnoticed. However, Whitt can flat out play. He shot the ball 7-9 in the first game of the day and continued his hot shooting throughout the day. Whitt plays extremely hard on both ends of the floor and will be a great asset to someone at the next level.
Tyshawn Abernathy PC North 2016 Small Forward
Abernathy is a coach on the court. He was outstanding on Sunday keeping his team in line even calling a full-court press at times. Abernathy is athletic with a big build on the wing. He can score and handle it, but his best attribute is his toughness on defense. Small colleges will love Abernathy’s toughness and high basketball IQ.
Micah Brown 2019 Moore Guard
Brown is a good shooter with some talent. He is very young, but caught my eye on Sunday. Circle Brown’s name for the future. He could turn into a nice college prospect.
Jace Killman 2017 Destiny Christian Shooting Guard
Killman is a high volume shooter that loves the three-point shot. If opponents leave Killman open he will make them pay. He is a very streaky shooter that when hot can really light it up from deep.
Trejion Edwards 2017 Douglass Point Guard
Edwards was one of the biggest surprises of the day. He ran the point at a high level using his quickness to create openings for himself and others. Edwards plays with a high level IQ and can score in all three phases of the game. Keep a close eye on Edwards throughout the spring and summer.
Maverick Ball 2016 Cleveland Shooting Guard
Any NAIA looking for a wing that can be a spot up shooter from behind the arc, Maverick Ball is your man. He shot the ball well from behind the arc making defenders pay for any room they left him.
Marquis Dobson 2016 Anadarko Shooting Guard
Dobson was on fire from beyond the arc on Sunday. He scored the basketball in all three phases of the game. Dobson has good size at 6’2″ with a physical build. His toughness allows him to fight through contact around the rim. NAIA schools should give Dobson a strong look
Tre Ellis 2017 Millwood Combo Guard
Ellis was a bright surprise in the underclassmen on Sunday. He is athletic with a good handle and the ability to shoot the ball from deep. Ellis is one to keep an eye on over the next year.
Jalal Gondal 2016 Noble Forward
Gondal was a force in the paint throughout the day. He has several looks at the NAIA level from Bethel and Southwestern in Kansas. Gondal will be a great fit at an NAIA program.
Dakota Foster 2016 Westmoore Combo Guard
Foster can run the Point or play off the ball at Shooting Guard. He was on fire from three-point range at the Prep Hoops Oklahoma Showcase. He has received looks from a couple of Division II programs, but the majority of his looks are coming from NAIA programs. Foster has the skills to have a great college career where ever he lands.
Riley Cowan 2016 Bridge Creek Guard
Cowan is an absolute gamer on the floor. He does the little things that often go unnoticed. From three-point range Cowan can get hot in a hurry. Cowan making the extra effort on each play makes him an intriguing prospect.
Josh Willson 2016 Ripley Shooting Guard
Small town kids never get enough love for what they bring to the floor. Wilson showed on Sunday he has been overlooked. Wilson has good size at 6’3, 6’4 and uses it to his advantage. He shot the ball well from all over the court. He plays extremely hard on both ends of the floor.
Caydon Thomas 2016 PC North Small Forward
Thomas is a great competitor on the court. He could transition to the 3 or possibly even the 2 at some point. Thomas has a bright future with his ability to be coachable and hard work ethic.
