Evans Released from NLI
2016 Edmond North Point Guard Tre Evans has been released from his National Letter of Intent from Old Dominion. His father and Head Coach Terry Evans told Prep Hoops it was family reasons.
Evans has been cleared to attend any schools outside of Conference USA teams and the Tulsa University. Evans has had a terrific season at Edmond North leading the Huskies to a perfect record of 24-0. His efforts at Point Guard have helped Edmond North to a #16 national ranking by USA Today.
Evans is averaging 20 points, 5 rebounds, and 6 assists per game. With that said Evans has rarely played in the forth quarters of many games this season. Last year, Edmond North went 10-14. There have been two changes the addition of Tre and his father Terry as the Head Coach.
Tre has found his home running the show at the Point. This season he is shooting 56% from the floor, 46% from three-point land, and 86% from the free-throw line. Evans is a legit Division I talent and has had one of the best overall seasons of any player in Oklahoma.
Tre will look to find a school closer to home to be closer with his family per his father Terry. Evans has shown this season he has the skills to have an immediate impact on a Division I program.
