Boise City 2016 Jaedon Whitfield
Whitfield was the only Boise City player that had anything going for him early. With his size and ball handling ability he was able to take advantage of bigs and over power smaller defenders. Whitfield put big numbers in his final high school game posting 29 points. He may be a hidden gem within the state of Oklahoma.
Boise City 2018 Point Guard Samuel Alvarado
Alvarado had a good day shooting the ball an brought his energy to both ends of the floor. He was aggressive on defense and was effective when taking the ball to the rim. Alvarado showed up big in crunch time swell coming up with a big steal a huge three pointer to cunt into the deficit. Alvarado finished with 16 points.
Kinta 2017 Small Forward Justin Pile
Pile showed off his crazy athleticism to get most of his point around the rim. When Boise City switched to zone defense Pile got his touch’s at the free throw line and was able to get the rim off the dribble. He also did a great job at stepping up to the line and knocking down clutch free throw. Pile fouled out late but finished the game with 13 points.
Kinta 2017 PG Brett Williams
Williams did a superb job of facilitating the game and making sure his team played at the appropriate pace. He proved to be a great decision maker and put his teammates in position to succeed. Williams also had his own taste of success when attacking the rim relentlessly and moving without the ball. Williams also notched 13 point to spring his team to a victory.
Red Oak 2016 Point Guard Brad Davis
After coming out and missing his first two field goals Davis determined it wasn’t having the best shooting day and decided to make plays for others. That is when this Red Oak team started to play its finest basketball. Davis found streaking teammates in transition and cutting teammates in the halfcourt. Once Davis found his stroke he was aggressive in moving without the ball and getting to the free throw line
Red Oak 2018 Shooting Guard Grayson Nix
Nix has a knack for taking the ball to the rim and finishing through contact. He did that early and often for the Eagles. Nix also had his hand all over the place in Red Oak’s stifling pressure. Nix paced his team wit 16 points and has started his state tournament play on the right foot.
Hammon 2016 Small Forward Baylee Trench
Trench had it going early knocking down two three-pointers to spark his team. He has great size at while matched up against the 6’10” Daniel Rodriguez Trench held his own in the blocks. He suffered an injury in the first half but still came back to finish with a strong performance scoring 19 points with four three-pointers.
