Ike Leggins 2016 PC West Forward
Leggins was huge for the Patriots in the paint rebounding the basketball at a high level. He is a JUCO or small college coaches dream. Leggins is undersized with a good physical build and is not afraid to battle with anyone. He is the king of second chance points.
Zeph Smith 2019 PC West Point Guard
Smith had a coming out party on Thursday with the bright lights of the Class 6A State Tournament shining down upon him. He shot the three ball well. He gave PC West big minutes off the bench. Smith handles the ball well against pressure. He is lighting quick to the rim. Keep an eye on his development over time.
Nile Felton 2016 Union Shooting Guard
He was big time for Union in their comeback in the forth quarter. Felton is a knock down three-point shooter, but it was his ability to drive to the basket and make plays for his teammates. Union came up just short, but Felton did everything he could.
Mo Garcia 2018 Union Guard
Garcia was a jack of all trades for the Union Redskins. He plays really tough defense every trip down the floor. Garcia rebounds the ball very well from the shooting guard position. He also has a nice three-point shot from the outside.
Adrian Rodriguez 2017 Union Power Forward
Rodriguez continues to impress with his toughness inside. He takes a beating in the paint, but never stops battling. He was playing hurt though the second half of the season with an elbow injury, but it didn’t slow him down. He is a hidden jewel in the 2017 Oklahoma Class.
Tariq Bitson 2016 Booker T. Washington Guard/Forward
Bitson will likely play football at the next level, but if I was at a small college school he could come play for me anyway. He battles playing primary in the paint for the Hornets. He is an elite defender on the wing, but can also defend a post player inside. Bitson is a great rebounder for his position and a huge second chance point guy.
RJ Fuqua 2017 Booker T. Washington Point Guard
Fuqua will blow up over the summer with his elite speed, ability to handle the basketball, vision, and scoring. Fuqua was huge for Booker T. Washington keeping them in the game. He makes his teammates around him better.
Khobe Austin-Johnson 2016 Booker T. Washington Point Guard
Austin-Johnson went out with a bang on Thursday nearly leading Booker T. Washington to an upset over Edmond North. He scored 23 points to lead the Hornets. Austin-Johnson is undersized, very quick, athletic, and a very streaky shooter that can head up in a hurry. A couple of Division II schools are looking at him.
Tre Evans 2016 Edmond North Point Guard
Evans did not have his best performance on Thursday in the opening round. He entered the fourth quarter with just 5 points. However, in the forth quarter with North needing big baskets he came alive. Edmond North will need two strong performances by him to win the gold ball.
Lindy Waters III 2016 Norman North Shooting Guard (Signed OSU)
Waters was huge for Norman North scoring the basketball at a very high level. He has upside out of this world at the 2. Waters can score in all three phases of the game. He is long and lanky, which allows him to reek havoc on defense. Waters will be a special player at the next level.
Marcus Dickinson 2016 Norman North Point Guard
Dickinson has played off the ball for most of the season with Trae Young at the Point for Norman North. One thing it has allowed him to focus on his improving his three-point shot, which he has big time. Dickinson is a MM talent at the next level. He scored the ball very well. At the Point he has good size, good physical build, quickness, awareness, and the ability to make others around him better.
Charlie Kolar 2017 Norman North Power Forward
Kolar is pretty good on the football field, but proved he isn’t to shabby on the court on Thursday. He played excellent defense in the paint rebounding the ball very well. Kolar is not normally much of a scorer, but even showed his ability to score a little on Thursday.
Trae Young 2017 Norman North Point Guard
Young was quiet in the first half primarily setting up his teammates for open looks, but in the second half he went off. He would finish the game with over 30 points to lead all scorers. Young is an elite scorer, with great handles, in the gym range, and vision. He is a special talent that only comes around Oklahoma so often.
Kristian Doolittle 2016 Edmond Memorial Forward (Signed OU)
Doolittle will head to the University of Oklahoma next year. Before his high school career ended he gave us one more show in the opening round of the Class 6A State Tournament. Doolittle has improved his guard skills a lot this season, which will allow him to play the 3 at the next level. He did it all for Edmond Memorial this season. Doolittle has the chance to become and elite player in the Big 12.
Micah Speight 2016 PC North Point Guard
Speight did everything he could to give PC North a chance to win against a loaded Mustang squad. He is a really nice all-around Point Guard. He currently holds an offer from Oral Roberts. Speight is a knock down three-point shooter that excels at creating his own shot. He is really quick, which allows him to get to the rim in a hurry. Speight has a chance to be a really nice player at the next level. He is a winner.
Jakolby Long 2016 Mustang Shooting Guard (Signed Iowa State)
Long took a tough fall to the floor, but as he has throughout his entire career he played tough as nails. Long is extremely athletic, long, and quick on the wing. He is an elite defender that excels at taking the best player on the other team out of the game. He scored the ball very well attacking the basket.
KeJuan Frazier 2016 Mustang Point Guard
Frazier gets lost in the shuffle of all the Division I talent at Mustang. However, I continue to preach Frazier could be an excellent Division II Point Guard. He scored in double-digits for Mustang on Thursday night and was excellent at sharing the basketball. Frazier’s recruitment is wide open, but it may not be for long if he continues to perform at a high level under the bright lights of the state tournament.
