MVP: Midwest City Shooting Guard Keyshawn Embery
Embery may be an underclassmen, but he brought a fearless attack to the floor on a nightly basis to earn him MVP honors. He had a big summer in 2015 racking up several offers Big 12 offers and has carried that momentum into his sophomore season with the Midwest City Bombers. Embery has an explosive first step that allows him to get to the rim at ease. A great season with the Oklahoma Run PWP could spring Embery on to the national scene.
Carl Albert Point Guard Mason Harrell
What Harrell lacks in size he makes up for in pure skill. In fact, his stature may help him in certain ways on the perimeter. Harrell’s low center of gravity allows him to shift his weight and change directions quickly. He has a high basketball IQ and always seems to get to his spots on the floor. Harrell has committed to play the summer ’16 AAU season with Team Griffin(OK).
Owasso Shooting Guard Josh Proctor
Proctor can be a streaky player at times but when his shot is falling he is a force to be reckoned with. He has nice size at 6’3” and can be a pesky defender on the perimeteter. On the offensive end, Proctor has shown improvements from deep but he truly excels when driving to basket in transition. He will have a decision to make when its all said and done as he is also one of the top football prospects in the state. Until then, Proctor will enjoy the best of both worlds. He will play with Oklahoma Run PWP this summer.
Carl Albert Shooting Guard Treyvon Hopkins
Hopkins has made huge strides on the offensive end of the floor. He now flaunts the ability to knock down the three-point jumper consistently and that opens up a-lot for his game. Hopkins is a freak of nature athletically. When he gets going downhill he is likely to get a bucket or get to the line. He does much of his damage from the midrange. He gets a lot of touches around the free throw line, he can shoot over the defense or drive and kick. Hopkins is a great all around prospect.
Midwest City Small Forward Jalen Redmond
Redmond has the size of an NFL linebacker and uses it to his advantage on the hardwood. He is limited within back to the basket, but thrives off his face up game. He gets most of his touches in the high post and attacks the body of his defender. Redmond also has the ability to but the ball on the floor a time or two and race to the rim. Along with his high school teammate Keyshawn Embery, Redmond will play with Oklahoma Run PWP where he could start to pick up interest.
Broken Arrow Point Guard Caleb Huffman
He shocked the world with a poster dunk against rival Jenks this past season and it won’t be the last time the nation hears the name Caleb Huffman. He is a high volume scorer who can light it up from beyond the arc. Huffman has a pure stroke, but doesn’t rely heavily on it. The 15 year old spends much of his time getting to the rim and opening up the floor for his teammates. Huffman is due for a breakout summer with Oklahoma Run PWP.
Sixth Man: Holland Hall Point Guard CJ Thompson
Thompson is an absolute sniper from deep and only need a bit of space to get his shot off. He has a quick first step that allows him to get in the lane and create for others. He put up big numbers averaging 19 points five rebounds and four assist per game. Much like Proctor, Thompson is also a dual sport athlete who excels on both the gridiron and the hardwood.
