“UC-Clermont came and talked to me last week, and I’m supposed to be taking a visit to Kentucky Wesleyan on Feb. 20th.,” said the 6-foot-3 wing.
Bryant says UC-Clermont will be back to see him play.
“Their coach told me he liked my game, and he was going to come back and see me play and they’re thinking about offering,” said Bryant, who mentioned his Wesleyan contact.
“They talked to me and told me I have a bright future, and they’re happy about continuing to talk to me.”
With the end of his high school career now upon him, Bryant says his main focus is to get as far into the postseason as possible.
“I hope I get recruited and I hope I get offers,” he said. “But my main focus right now is to just get my team to a state championship.”
This season with the Dragons, Bryant has been looked upon to score in a variety of ways – something he feels he excels at.
“I feel like I can get to the basket at will, and I can pull-up too if I need to. And I feel like I’ve come a long way, because before I couldn’t do that. And it’s helped my game because now teams don’t know whether to play me out, on close up on me,” he said.
“And I feel like I have a lot of speed for my height, most guys my size can’t move like I do.”
“My rebounding is something I feel I could improve. I feel like I could do more with helping my team rebounding. I feel like I should be able to rebound more with my height.”
His younger teammates also look to the senior guard for leadership.
“Night-in and night-out they just need me to play defense and score the ball. Really just lead my team every time we go into battle,” said Bryant.
