A pass-first 5-foot-10 point guard, Harris received his first offer last summer, and has seen letters come in from one renowned mid-major Division I program.
“Kentucky Wesleyan has given me an offer, and then Wichita State has been looking at me,” said Harris.
“Wichita State is just sending me a whole lot of letters right now, I haven’t really spoken with any of their coaches yet.”
In the past the talented point guard — PHK’s 43rd-ranked 2017 — has played his offseasons with Hoop Dreams, but he’ll play with Pocket City this summer.
“I didn’t really get the chance to really showcase my talent on Hoop Dreams the way I really wanted to. And Pocket City has been wanting me for awhile, and they’ve been showing me a lot of love. So I think I’m going to go that route with them, and see how it goes,” said Harris.
“I think this summer my recruitment should pick up. If I really work hard and get in the gym it should really pick up this offseason.”
The talented point guard went on to explain his playing style.
“Mainly I like getting my team involved, and when I have to score I’ll go score for my team. I consider myself a pass-first point guard, very unselfish.”
Harris is averaging 16 points, five assists, and two rebounds per game during his junior season with the Red Devils.
“Overall I’m happy with the way I’ve played this season,” said Harris. “I’m playing a much larger role than I was last year. They need more scoring out of me, and basically just get my team involved and try and go out there and get the win.”
