Player of the Game: Logan Mullins Shooting Guard 2016
Mullins is the leader of Sperry at the 2. He really surprised me with his level of play on Friday night. Mullins dominated in nearly every facet of the game. He distributes the ball at a high level. Intercepts passes on defense by getting into the passing lanes. He had a nice drive and finished around the rim. Mullins showed he can shoot from the outside when needed. When Sperry needed a clutch play he was the one who delivered.
Sperry
Jace Pratt Combo Guard 2018
Pratt is a very young and talented player. He is a high volume shooter that can fire it from deep. Once he crosses the half-court line Pratt can hurt you. He is right handed, but excelled driving left as well. Pratt is a witty player on the floor with a high basketball IQ.
Colton Simmons Small Forward 2016
Simmons was key for Sperry down the stretch banking in two three-pointers back-to-back to give Sperry the lead late. He finished with 12 points on the night. He stands at a legit 6’6″ on the wing.
Adair
Bo Rogers Point Guard 2017
Rogers struggled in the first half to get going, but found his stride in the second half. He started to hit a couple of jumpers and then made the play of the game possibly for Adair. Rogers drove in threw up a floater of the glass that went in and was fouled. He finished with 8 points and is a player to watch his development over the next couple of years.
BJ Bradbury Shooting Guard 2017
Bradbury is widely talked about around Oklahoma for his football talents, but after watching him on the court on Friday he could play basketball at the next level as well. Bradbury was dominate getting to the rim at will. He found his shooting stroke and hit a few outside jumpers as well. He finished with a game high 29 points.
Lane Yoder Small Forward 2016
Yoder was a big reason why Adair remained in the game late. He caught fire from the three-point line hitting three huge shots in the forth quarter. Yoder has a big body like a forward, but plays more like a 2 on the perimeter. He shot over 50% from the three-point line and scored 12 points on the night.
Travis Brand Point Guard 2017
Brand did a little bit of everything for Adair on Friday night. He scored the ball decent driving it to the rim, but he threw some great passes to his teammates. Brand finds a way to fit the basketball through some tough spots and it worked brilliantly for Adair.
