The Bison were no match for the size that the Spartans brought to the game. Giving up easy layups in the paint. McDowell led the Spartans with 26 points and Corey Atkins led Centennial with12 points.
Southeast
Dashawn McDowell
McDowell is a lengthy shooting guard who is a pass first player. His mentality is to look for his teammates more than himself. There are times when McDowell will force a shot, but for the most part his eyes are always on the move. He had no trouble getting to the rim in this game scoring 26 in the process.
Chris Johnson
Johnson is a go to scorer for this Southeast squad. He can shoot the ball out to the 3-point line as well as finish through contact. His versatility helps make this Southeast offense so powerful. He would go on to score 22 points.
Ron Walker
Walker is the teams best shooter. He was consistently knocking down threes in the first half. In the second half he showed off the other weapons he has getting to the basket. He would go on to score 23 points.
Javion Combs
Combs is the biggest player they have. He is a straight banger and will power his way through anybody in front of him. He uses his wide frame to get position on the defensive end making it hard for the opposing team to get easy looks.
Joshua Means
Means is another shooter for the Spartans. He helps spread the floor which helps everyone else with getting into the lane. He is a real threat from outside which makes the defense account for where he is at all times.
Centennial
Corey Atkins
Atkins is the primary ball handler for Centennial. His quickness was unparalleled on the floor tonight. He was constantly getting past his defender and setting up shots for teammates.
Krooser
Krooser is this teams hustle player. He was all over the floor getting most loose balls. He is an athletic 2 guard who excels at playing defense. Which this teams solely needs.
Marcus Alexander
Marcus was showing flashes of potential all night long. His dribbling skills were only rivaled by McDowell. He is a maestro for this Centennial team creating for teammates and seeing passing lanes not many other players could find.
Howard
Howard is a big guard who acts like his only reason he is here is to stop opposing players from scoring. His defensive intensity was bar none the best on the court.
Johnson
Johnson is another player who intrigued me. His length and height are great for the next level. He can handle the ball as well as finish at the rim. The only knock I saw was his intensity. He can shoot, rebound, and block shots.
