Several player impressed throughout the night. Jon Matthews and Sayvon Milton were excellent for Heritage Hall. Kellen Manek dominated in the paint for Harrah. Get the complete analysis below.
Harrah
Kellen Manek 2016 6’7″ Forward Signed with Oral Roberts
Manek was a man among boys in the paint on Thursday night. Heritage Hall had no answer for his toughness and post moves. Manek is only around 75% with a high ankle sprain, but that didn’t slow him down. He was key for Harrah leading them in scoring and even handled the ball well, bringing it up the floor at times.
Brady Manek 2017 6’9″ Small Forward Committed to Oklahoma
Manek did not have his best shooting night, but found ways to impact the game positively. He displayed great vision and fought through double and triple teams throughout the game. If Manek is coming down the lane I suggest you move or get put on a poster.
Garrett Pearson 2016 6’2″ Point Guard
Pearson hit several big time three-pointers on Thursday night. He is one of the best prospects in the state that is not receiving many looks. Pearson has great upside with his shooting ability and a nice handle at the Point. Small colleges in the region should give him a look.
Heritage Hall
Jon Matthews 2018 5’8″ Point Guard
Matthews was the smallest player on the floor on Thursday, but might of had the best game out of anyone. He threw so many dimes to his teammates I lost count. Matthews is the key to the Chargers engine. He is very quick with a great basketball IQ and never stops competing. Matthews displayed a nice pull-up jumper from mid-range and a good floater.
Sayvon Milton 2017 6’3″ Shooting Guard
Milton continues to raise his stock on the wing with great performances each night out. He shot the ball at an extremely high level shooting 5-7 from behind the arc. Milton doesn’t need much room to knock down jumpers. He is long, lanky, and a good athlete that is always hustling.
Calon Woodson 2016 6’2″ Combo Guard
Woodson didn’t have his best game, but as all great leaders do had an impact on the game. He shot the ball decent from the floor, but did most of his damage setting up his teammates and playing tough defense.
