His performance was one that the people in attendance will remember for a long time. From creating for his teammates, to making ridiculous circus layups, to hitting his Steph Curry like 25 foot 3’s.
Young led the Timberwolves with 13 points after the first quarter leading Norman North to a 29-20 lead. The second quarter was a different ballgame.
With the pace picking up and more shots being taken it was evident that Young was about to have a special night. By halftime he had tallied 24 points and didn’t show any signs of slowing down in the third.
The third quarter was all about Young. He came out of halftime with 5 quick points and only capitalized from there. When the fourth quarter started you could hear the crowd rise with every shot taken.
Young was dominating and it was clear he was on a different level than his peers. With 3:30 left in the game he sunk a pair of free throws to put his nightly total at 51. He would walk off the court to a standing ovation from both sides and go on to receive MVP honors.
Young has averaged over 40 points per game throughout his last 8 games.
