Player of the Week Mason Harrell
Carl Albert 2018 Point Guard Mason Harrell won the Prep Hoops Oklahoma Player of the Week poll with 16,623 votes out of 43,000 votes. Harrell led Carl Albert to win the Ardmore Holiday Tournament last week. He averaged 17.5 points and 8 assists for the tournament.
Harrell is off to a great start at Carl Albert in his sophomore campaign. He is averaging 21 points, 3.6 assists, and 4.7 rebounds per game at Carl Albert this season. He already holds a Division II offer from Oklahoma Baptist. The ability Harrell has to run the team at the Point is rare. Harrell has a great feel for the game that comes naturally.
The only knock on Harrell is his size at 5’9″ but the good thing for him is he may grow a couple of inches as he is just a sophomore. Even if Harrell doesn’t grow he will be coveted recruit in the 2018 Oklahoma Class.
Harrell is the forth player to win Player of the Week this year. Tanner Meraz, Marques Wilson, and Conner Larson were the previous winners. This weekend Harrell will lead Carl Albert in the Bartlesville tournament.
