Dawkins had a fiery performance in the opening round of the Titan Classic against Bartlesville. He lit it up from beyond the arc finishing with four 3 pointers.
He finished the first half with 16 points and led a fierce comeback that ended with a McAlester win. Dawkins finished the night with 23 points helped by a strong shooting performance. Dawkins credits his strong senior to a strict work ethic over the summer.
“Ive just been working on my ball handling skills and my shot,” Dawkins said. “Just improving my craft everyday I can.”
Dawkins is looking better and better as the season roles on. He is averaging 26 points and 7 boards through his first 14 games.
Dawkins stands at 6’5” and will play on the wing at the next level. He has a smooth stroke and can fire away from deep and off the dribble. He also excels in driving the ball and finishing at the rim. Dawkins is projected as a Division II shooting guard at the next level. He holds a couple of Division II offers.
