Union Beats Jenks
The Union Redskins improved to 2-1 on the season with the 54-40 victory over the Jenks Trojans on Friday night. Prep Hoops Oklahoma was at Frank Herald Fieldhouse for the great rivalry match up.
TJ Washington struggled to find his shot in the early going, but bounced back as the game continued to lead the Trojans attack. However, Washington and the Trojans were no match for 2017 Union Forwards Adrian Rodriguez and Ethan Chargois.
Not only did Rodriguez and Chargois dominate Jenks in the paint, but they also displayed their ability to face defenders up, and knock down the jumper. Many are aware of the talents of Chargois, but it is time to take notice of what Rodriguez can do as well. The two are a tough match up to handle for any opponent.
Jenks struggles continued with the loss to Union on Friday night. The Trojans are now 3-4 on the season as they head into the winter break.
Since, the loss to Owasso, Union has been impressive with back-to-back double digit victories on the road. Now, we get to learn more about the Redskins as their next challenge is the Tournament of Champions. The Redskins begin the Tournament of Champions against top ranked Fort Cobb-Broxton in Class A.
