Can Anyone Guard Keyshawn Embery?
The answer is simply, no. Harrah does not have a player that can match the athleticism and speed of Embery. No team has had an answer for them this weekend and don’t expect that to change on Wednesday night. Embery is averaging almost 30 points, 10 rebounds, and 8 assists per game at the TOC this week.
Who will Guard the Manek Brothers?
The Manek brothers have given teams fits throughout the Tournament this week. Tonight, Midwest City will get the chance to see how they stack up against them. If we are guessing who will guard them look for Brendon Brown to come in off the bench for Midwest City and match up with Kellen Manek in the paint. Brown gave the Bombers good minutes against Preston and Edison in the paint. There isn’t a team in Oklahoma who can match up well against Brady Manek. His ability to shoot the ball at 6’9″ makes it near impossible to guard him. If Midwest City matches up size they would probably go with Jalen Redmond to guard him at times. The Bombers could play zone as Union did yesterday.
Can Harrah Handle the Bombers Pressure?
Midwest City has been known over the past decade as one of the best teams in the state at pressuring teams. Harrah showed in the preseason they have a weakness of not being able to handle the ball well against quick and athletic teams. If Midwest City buys in and pressures the Harrah guards this one could get out of hand. It also is a chance for Harrah to show they have learned from the preseason and can handle pressure.
Who are the X Factors?
Garrett Pearson for Harrah could push the Panthers to the TOC Title. He is a knock down shooter from the outside Harrah will need him to have a great game to be able to knock off Midwest City. Richard Anderson is always the X Factor for the Bombers. If he is on his game not to many teams can beat the Bombers. Anderson has been battling an illness since the opening game at the TOC. He scored 21 on Monday, but scored under 10 points on Tuesday while dealing with his sickness. The Bombers will hope to have him better by game time tonight.
