Omar Boone 2017 Casady Point Guard
Omar Boone was on fire on Thursday night against one of the top teams in Class 6A. Casady lost the game, but it was not because of Boone who accounted for 23 points. He scored the basketball in all three phases of the game. Boone showed a nice pull up jumper from the outside, a smooth floater from mid-range, and a fearless drive attacking the rim. Lookout for Boone, he could blowup over the next year and a half.
Kinyon Parker 2018 Lawton Ike Shooting Guard
Parker put together a nice performance on Thursday. He scored the basketball well shooting the ball very efficiently. Parker was second in scoring for Lawton Ike. He scored by taking the ball strong to the rim. We did see Parker stretch the defense with a three-point jumper falling. If he continues to shoot the ball this well his stock will continue to rise. The athleticism Parker has will attract colleges.
Micah Thomas 2019 PC North Point Guard
Thomas is a name to remember for the future. He is just a freshmen, but starts for Putnam City North, which says a lot with North being a top 10 team in Class 6A. Thomas creates with the rock in his hand for himself and teammates. He is undersized, but has plenty of time to grow with four years remaining in high school.
Micah Speight 2016 PC North Point Guard
It was not his best shooting performance, but when Putnam City North need it Micah Speight stepped up and knocked down the big shots. Late in the game Speight found his teammates three different times for easy baskets around the rim. The vision of Speight is remarkable. Low Division I programs should give Speight a hard look. Thursday, Speight played a complete game on both ends of the floor. He is undersized, but uses that to his advantage playing with a huge chip on his shoulder.
Kristian Doolittle 2016 Edmond Memorial F (Signed OU)
Doolittle dominated once again on Thursday evening. However, the way Doolittle is playing is surprising to some who did not see him this summer. Doolittle ran the point for Memorial showing off his crafty handles and great vision. The questions around Doolittle early in his career was can he transition to the 3 at the next level? He is showing this year that he will be able to be much more than a guy that just plays in the paint. Doolittle has improved his jumper, handles, and leadership this season. Watch out Class 6A, Doolittle is tough to handle.
Marlik Depp 2017 Edmond Memorial Guard
Depp spends a lot of time in the paint, but at the next level he will be a guard. He is a scraper in the post doing what ever is needed for Memorial to gain an advantage. Every championship team needs a player like Depp. He led Memorial offensively with tough baskets around the rim on Thursday. Keep an eye out for Depp over the season.
Marques Wilson 2017 Edmond North Guard
When the dust settles around this time next year Marques Wilson will be signed by a High Major college. Wilson has a mature body for his age, but thats not the only thing attractive to college coaches. He has a killer three-point shot that continues to get better. Wilson can drive to the bucket and finish or kick to an open teammate. Wilson is the complete package and will be a prime prospect in the 2017 Oklahoma Class.
Tauriawn Knight 2018 Edmond Santa Fe Guard
Knight was very efficient on Thursday afternoon for Santa Fe. He did a little bit of everything scoring 13 points with 4 assists. Each night out Knight gains more confidence on the floor. With three year still left in high school Knight could turn into a special prospect.
Reece Leitao 2017 Jenks Power Forward
Leitao was a force for the Trojans in the paint. He held his own against the Huskies pulling down double-digits rebounds. Leitao posted his first double-double of the season as he was able to convert baskets around the rim. His strong football build makes him very tough to handle in the paint.
Terrell Marshall 2016 Jenks Point Guard
Marshall was very aggressive on defense snagging several steals and converting on the offensive end. He is a great competitor on the floor for the Trojans. At the Point Marshall is constantly attacking the basket. He has improved his handles, three-point shot, and vision. Small colleges in the region should give Marshall a hard look if they are in the market for a Point Guard.
Tre Evans 2016 Edmond North Point Guard (Signed ODU)
Evans is guiding the Huskies at the Point with his excellent leadership and vision. The big thing that separates Evans from other elite passing point guards is that he can also hurt opponents from deep. Evans is proving to be one of the best guards in the state.
Tyson Anderson 2016 Edmond North Shooting Guard
Anderson was a three-point sniper on Thursday evening for the Huskies. On the defensive end Anderson shut his opponent down. Anderson has had a great start to his senior year. He is a player that could come into a small college program and have an instant impact with the way he can shoot the basketball.
