The Proviso East junior uses his quickness and strength to make life tough on his opponent. Offensively he is in attack mode slashing to the hoop in both the half court and getting to the rim in transition. This will be a big season for Chisom as he will be one of the go to players for the Pirates after coming off a strong summer with All-In/Young & Reckless 16U.
He spoke about his summer on the travel team circuit.
“It went well. We started off kind of bad, but second session we took off and playing well as a team. Everybody came together.”
The experience helped him as a player.
“I matured a lot. I know when to take certain shots and I learned that I have to get my teammates involved.”
How would he break down the strength in his game when he is rolling?
“I am a hard worker. I have a Chicago style of play. I do whatever it takes to win. I am going to lock up on defense. I am going to go for all the hard buckets and I like going to the free throw line.”
Western Illinois is one school that has shown early interest in Chisom.
