Recruiting Report: Teyvion Kirk (2017)

<p><span style="font-family:arial,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">Joliet West 6’2” point guard <strong>Teyvion Kirk</strong> does a great job pushing the ball in transition.  Kirk is a solid passer that can get in the lane drawing defenders where he has the ability to kick to open teammates.  Overall handles the ball well and is improving as a playmaker.</span></span></p><p><span style="font-family:arial,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">Kirk performed well at the NY2LA Sports Futures Camp at the end of October.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family:arial,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">“The camp was very fun.  A lot of top guys so it felt good coming out and competing with them.  I just try to do my best to stand out.”</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family:arial,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">How would he break down his game?</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family:arial,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">“I really like to get my teammates involved and then I create my shot after because then the defense is going to collapse.  I handle the ball and can shoot it well.”<br /> <br /> Kirk discussed his summer with All-In/Young & Reckless on the 16U circuit.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family:arial,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">“We played real great in the July period.  We got to the final four in most tournaments.  We played together and played well.”</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family:arial,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">He is looking forward to a big season for his team at Joliet West as they have a trio of quality prospects that are the core of their squad.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family:arial,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">“We are going to do real big things.  We are young.  Trevian Bell and Elijah Ward.  We are going to be real tough this year!”</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family:arial,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">Kirk currently holds one offer from Chicago State.  He updated us on the other schools that are showing interest.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family:arial,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">“I am hearing from Wright State, UIC, Illinois State, Cornell, Brown, and some Ivy Leagues.”</span></span></p>
