Recruiting Report: Brennen Woods (2017)

<p><span style="font-family:arial,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">Hampshire 2017 shooting guard <strong>Brennen Woods</strong> is a smooth scoring wing that has upside.  The guard can handle the rock and get in the lane where he proves he can finish well around the basket.  Perimeter jump shot from both mid-range and three has potential with quality mechanics and lift.  The wing definitely has D1 potential.</span></span></p><p><span style="font-family:arial,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">Woods played well when we saw him this fall at the NY2LA Sports Futures Camp.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family:arial,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">“I thought I did really good.  I rebounded, assisted my teammates, and scored pretty well.”</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family:arial,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">Where has he been putting an emphasis on his game heading into his junior year?</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family:arial,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">“I am working on my athleticism.  Trying to get to the basket and drive and kick a little bit more than I usually do.”</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family:arial,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">He talked about his role for Hampshire this season.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family:arial,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">“My role is going to be the guy that does a little bit of everything.  Assist a lot of my teammates.  We have a lot of shooters out there.  We have a couple bigs that are skilled.  It should be a good season.”</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family:arial,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">It is still early in the process, but he has a few schools that have expressed interest.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family:arial,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">“I am hearing from South Dakota State, Northern Illinois, and Notre Dame.”</span></span></p>
