“When we started the Oklahoma Wizards in 2008, our goal was simple. Give back to a community and game that had given us so much, to play a role in bettering Oklahoma basketball, and make a lasting impact on young men on and off the court. Looking back over the eight years, We believe we have accomplished that and more, and we are so grateful to have had the opportunity. After the 2015 Class we will have helped over 100 student athletes in college basketball programs across the country, but more importantly, into higher educations.
After months of prayer and conversations with our board of directors, we have decided to step away from AAU basketball in Oklahoma. We cannot thank our friends, Families, and sponsors who have played vital roles in our program's success over the years. We hope that we were able to impact these young men's commitment to the game and to bettering themselves.
The Wizards Way doesn't end here, as you all will be family forever. It always was, and will continue to be, bigger than basketball. Thanks and God Bless.”
The Oklahoma Wizards leaving the Oklahoma Grassroots circuit changes a lot in Oklahoma. The Wizards were sponsored by Adidas this past year.
