Midwest City 2018 Shooting Guard Derrick Walter had the biggest weekend with his smooth shooting stroke from the outside. Walter is 6'3″ and still growing at the two. He has great potential with his ability to spot up and knock down shots.
Norman North 2018 Shooting Guard Jalen Crutchfield was impressive in Dallas. He is very similar in many ways to Walter as he stands at 6'3″. Crutchfield is a great spot up shooter from the outside. He continues to improve his overall game.
Carl Albert 2018 Point Guard Mason Harrell showed that although he is undersized he can play with some of the best. Harrell is a crafty point guard that excels at getting to the rim and making plays to set his teammates up for success.
Edmond Santa Fe 2018 Shooting Guard Tauriawn Knight displayed his great athleticism and ability to make plays with the ball in his hands. Defensively, Knight had a big weekend coming up with many steals. Knight is a player who could have a huge year at Edmond Santa Fe this season. He is coming off a great summer on the grassroots circuit with Impact Athletics.
Two names that were under the radar until this past weekend in Dallas are 2018 Center Gregory Hawkins out of Nathan Hale in Tulsa and 2019 Guard Peyton Roberson out of Edmond Memorial. Keep an eye out for both of those players as the year progresses.
