However, this summer Doolittle displayed his guard skills with Edmond Memorial in summer league and in the Nike Elite Youth Basketball League. The athleticism of Doolittle allows him to make plays others simply do not have the ability too.
In summer league with Edmond Memorial Doolittle was the leader on the floor. With the Bulldogs without a true Point Guard, Doolittle brought the floor up many times. The improved handles and jump shot of Doolittle have made him even harder to guard. Doolittle has the power to take over a game on both ends of the floor.
Offensively, Doolittle excels getting to the basket, but has also added the outside shot to his game. Opponents are forced to pick their poison with Doolittle being able to score in all three phases of the game.
Doolittle brings energy to both ends of the floor night in and night out. He is extremely physical on defense blocking and forcing opponents to adjust their shots.
Last December Doolittle pledged his commitment to the University of Oklahoma. Doolittle has not wavered since committing to the Sooners.
This summer Doolittle had a fantastic showing playing with Athletes First in the Nike EYBL. The Nike EYBL features many of the top prospects across the country.
He averaged 15.6 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game. Doolittle ranked in the Top 20 in the EYBL in Total Points (15), Field Goals Made (16), Free Throws Attempted (7), Free Throws Made (8), and Rebounds (7).
After his strong performance in the Grassroots season Doolittle climbed to #62 in ESPN's Top 100. Doolittle is primed for a huge senior year at Edmond Memorial.
