About Zane

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m a strong 6’2” shooting guard who can play all five positions when needed. I have the footwork of a five with the speed of a one, allowing me to score at all three levels, create for others, and defend multiple positions. I’m a high-motor, two-way player who can shoot, pass, and consistently impact the game on both ends of the floor

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Mentally, I’m a composed and competitive player who stays locked in under pressure. I have a high basketball IQ, make quick reads, and adapt to whatever the game needs. I take pride in doing the dirty work, staying disciplined on defense, and being coachable. I’m confident but unselfish, focused on winning, and consistent in my effort and preparation.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I bring strong leadership, communication, and accountability on and off the court. I lead by example with my work ethic, competitiveness, and willingness to take on any role to help the team win. I’m coachable, vocal when needed, and trusted by teammates in high-pressure moments. I play with confidence, toughness, and unselfishness, and I consistently set the tone with my energy and effort.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college program that values player development, accountability, and winning culture. I want to be in an environment where I’m pushed daily by coaches and teammates, trusted to compete, and given the opportunity to grow both on and off the court. I’m open to any level where the fit is right, the culture is strong, and I can contribute and continue to develop my game.

At around 6’1, Powell Powell 6'1" | SF Highland | 2027 IL is a true combo guard who played well both on and off the ball. I thought he had some of the better handles I saw on the day out of the many freshmen I watched on Sunday. He could be a contributor for Edgewood sooner rather than later.
