Zane King Zane King 6'5" | PF Franklin Community | 2030 State IN was the player who impressed me the most from both of the teams I covered. King is already very tall for a freshman and looks physically strong, especially when he drives to the basket through traffic. King is an excellent rebounder who goes up for the ball. Underneath the rim, he can spin off contact / blockers and flashes good instincts with finding open players on screens. Love his athleticism and upside.

We’ve talked quite a bit about this incoming freshman class at Franklin Community High School. King, a 6’5″ forward, is one of the prospects in that group that should make an instant impact at the varsity level this season. He is so strong around the basket playing with a great base and using his physicality to score around the rim. King was one of the most effective interior presences at the Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase. Pairing those abilities with some perimeter skill makes him a real prospect to watch in the 2030 class.

We were very impressed with the incoming Class of 2030 throughout the summer, especially at the Charlie Hughes Showcase, when watching Franklin Community High School. King has a chance to be a special prospect as he already features an athletic 6’5″ frame and intriguing versatile skill set. His ability to toggle between several positions on both ends of the floor should get him into the varsity rotation right away. We will get a good look at where he stacks up on a statewide basis on the Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase.

One of the more intriguing young prospects I’ve seen this spring and summer. Zane King Zane King 6'5" | PF Franklin Community | 2030 State IN , a 6’5” Wing/Forward from Franklin Community that turned a lot of heads with his performance in the Grizzly Cubs win over Heritage Hills on Sunday. Good size and frame with an inside-out skillset. Played with poise and was able to get to his spots on the floor on drives while finishing through contact. Capable three-point shooter off the catch. Showed versatility on the defensive end with his ability to guard all over the floor and stay out of foul trouble. Good rebounder that was excellent running the floor in transition either as an outlet man or pushing the break.
