Plays a lot bigger than his listed height of 5-foot-11 given his long, wiry frame; long arms allow him to rise over defenders and knock down shots on the perimeter with ease; impressed even more with his ability to operate in multiple roles given his wingspan

Despite being only 5’11, Zach was imposing his will on ball handlers on Sunday. One of the only guards to not only pick up full court but do so consistently and effectively. If he wasn’t getting deflections or steals, the ball handler had their back turned and was unable to get comfortable due to his presence. Zach was effective on offense as well, which just makes his defensive prowess that much more impressive. Charges are something you do not see a lot in showcase events, but Zach was able to draw a few which in the end helped his team win.

Rounding out my Names For The Future from the Francis Marion Team Camp is Zachery Nichols Zachery Nichols 6'2" | CG Wilson | 2030 SC , the lone 2030 in this list. It was hard to believe Nichols is just a rising 8th Grader based on his performance in Wednesday’s second game. Zachery added 12 points off the bench including two made threes (one spot up and one transition pull up), a runout layup after a jumped passing lane, and a nice mid-range jumper off the bounce. Nichols also got some minutes as the lone Point Guard as the game went on and showed some good qualities with his on-ball defense.
