Cordonnier was the power behind a Findlay squad that was one of the surprise stories around Ohio as they had an excellent regular season with some marquee wins and a conference championship. The growth Cordonnier made from junior to senior year in terms of his confidence attacking off the bounce and creating for himself. Always liked his frame, motor and ability to score in the paint, Cordonnier improved on all of those skills while adding new facets to his game. I liked that while he expanded what he did, he didn’t forget what got him on the court prior to this skill development. Offered by hometown Findlay, it’ll be interesting if Cordonnier stays close to home or chooses to leave his hometown in college.

Cordonnier has been the senior leader by example all year for this Findlay team that has exceeded expectations and he did this again yesterday. He got buckets from the inside and out for them and led the charge on a hard-fought game. He kept the Trojans in the game with his shooting and will to just get to the basket. He finishes the ball well and is the go-to guy in a really good Findlay offense.

Cordonnier had a great performance against St. Mary’s. He showed some real versatility as he was scoring inside and out. He almost outscored the opposing team through 3 quarters with 27 points. He was exposing mismatches all night. They did not have an answer for him. He got the ball in great positions in the post and scored a ton of easy buckets that way. He showed great fundamentals. He has very good footwork in the paint and touch. He has some great size and length. Strong body kid. He is a senior that leads by example on the team. He has a beautiful form and rotation on his jumper. He got everything he wanted all game long.

Cordonnier is an excellent wing for the Findlay Trojans. He is a long and high-flying player. He is a great slasher for Findlay who will be a vocal point of their offense this year. He can knock the ball down if left open. He has some good size as well. Definitely could have a breakout season this year.

A prospect who has really impressed me this summer and fall after first appearing on my radar late in his Junior season during the OHSAA playoffs. An impressive open court athlete, Cordonnier is able to get above the rim to finish over shorter and less athletic players. Showing a little bit of perimeter skill as well, his best move was a pump fake into a two-dribble rim attack where he was fouled. I expect a big senior seaosn for Cordonnier who should be the focal point of the Findlay offense.

Sticking with the Findlay theme, this time we head to Findlay high school with our last prospect of the article. I was impressed with Cordonnier at the Ohio State team camp, becoming a leader of a new look Findlay squad that graduated star guard Jake Bishop who will be staying at home and playing for the Oilers next season. A strong athlete who can get up on the rim, Cordonnier should put-up big-time numbers this winter. Expect Cordonnier to get a lot of small college attention from a variety of levels, coaches can check him out at the Toledo Top 64 this fall.

Cordonnier is a player that will get some colleges attention at the Toledo Top 64 this year. He is a good-sized wing with really good athleticism. He’s got good leaping ability, long, and moves extremely well. His defensive ability is something that is very good. He plays very hard on that end of the floor. He can guard almost every position on the floor. He also a great slasher on the offensive end. He knows when and how to attack the rim. Once you back off him, he can make you pay as well because if you leave him open, he will know the shot down from beyond the arc.

I’ve been impressed by Cordonnier over the past few months with his production with the Findlay Bombers and with Findlay High School in June. A skilled forward, Cordonnier is an impressive athlete who moves his feet well. A strong presence in the paint, Cordonnier is set to become the Trojans go to option this winter as they transition to a new conference. Small college programs should take a look at him in June with Findlay High School or July with the Findlay Bombers.
