The results of the day were as follows: In game 1 Delphos St. John’s beat Dayton Dunbar 82-54, Game 2 Lutheran West beat Lima Senior 77-49, Game 3 Shelby beat Findlay 59-53, and in Game 4 Troy Christian be Ottawa-Glandorf 61-50. This article will talk about the Top Scorers, these are the kids who did not score the most but who can put the ball in the basket at the highest level in these games.
Everyone knows Colin White Colin White 6’5″ | SG Ottawa Glandorf | 2024 State #156 Nation OH is a bucket and for his senior campaign, it has been no different. This Buckeye commit is still just as good at scoring the ball as ever but I was impressed with the physicality White has added this year. Yesterday was my first time seeing Ottawa-Glandorf play this season and his size stood out to me. He gets to the rim much better and is someone who creates contact and dictates it when getting to the rim. He is always on balance and this helps him finish. He has a great touch around the rim just like beyond the arc.
Isaiah Wilson
Isaiah Wilson
I have watched Lima play a couple times this season and Isaiah Wilson has always impressed me. He is the senior point guard for this team and the better he plays the better Lima plays. This past Saturday I liked how Wilson was attacking off of ball screens and finishing at the rim. He is a shorter guard but plays much bigger and has shown his ability to find creative ways to finish at the rim. He throws his body into the defender fully extends his arm and finishes. He also is a good athlete and can get up on the rim.
Cordonnier has been the senior leader by example all year for this Findlay team that has exceeded expectations and he did this again yesterday. He got buckets from the inside and out for them and led the charge on a hard-fought game. He kept the Trojans in the game with his shooting and will to just get to the basket. He finishes the ball well and is the go-to guy in a really good Findlay offense.
Highlights
Erford can put the ball in the basket. He is an absolute sniper who has a really quick shot. He is a big guard that needs no space to get his shot off. He is a very confident kid and like every good shooter, you have to be confident. I was impressed with his ability to finish in the mid-range and around the rim. He did a great job of this by coming to 2-foot stops to calm himself and get his balance. He has good touch and this allows him to be effective from the inside the arc as well.
