An old school undersized forward, Gregg is a bit undersized for his style of play but he makes up for it with craft and toughness. A guy who wants to play on the block and in the paint, Gregg has soft touch at the rim and does a nice job making himself available on cuts around the basket. The OCC Division Upper Arlington plays in has a ton of talented players and if Upper Arlington is going to compete with the best of the best, they’ll need a senior like Gregg to consistently perform on a squad filled with young talent.

Gregg is one of the most physical players I have seen. He is listed at 6’2 but plays much bigger. He came into the game and had an immediate impact on the glass and with second-chance points. He had a big presence with his physical and tough play. He is not the best athlete but he has great skill and wears opponents down.

Upper Arlington has a nice group of prospects with a majority of their talent in the 2026 and 2027 classes. That doesn’t mean we don’t want to spotlight Gregg from their 2025 class. In an early morning game Vs Walnut Ridge, Gregg was physical in the paint despite being undersized for his position. A forward who understands how to use his body to create separation, Gregg used jump stops to stay on balance and finish through contact off two feet. I also was impressed with Gregg’s ability to make the pass to the open man on time, showing his high IQ for the game. A glue piece who will help you win high school games, Gregg was productive for the Golden Bears on Thursday.

Gregg was phenomenal for Upper Arlington on Friday night. He was very tough and strong. Everything he did was strong. He posted strong, rebounded strong, attacked the rim strong, everything. He was physically dominant in the post. He had a ton of 2nd chance points. He is only listed at 6’2 but was playing like 6’10 with his presence in the paint. They couldn’t keep him off the board. He did this because of his energy and competitive edge. He started the game and ended the game by talking to the opposing team and giving it to them. I loved every minute this kid played.

Nova is bringing three other squads to this event and Nova-Harrington has previously stood out at Prep Hoops Circuit events. Gregg had a 20-point effort to lead them in a 63-61 win over Gem City Basketball Club this past weekend.
