I came away from last night’s game very impressed with how Trevor Smith Trevor Smith 6'8" | PF Brother Rice | 2026 State MI has built his game. He’s definitely learned to just dominate the paint and let his game and numbers fill in from there. Dominate the paint is what he did last night. He extended and ended possessions by grabbing a jaw dropping 17 rebounds.

He was a post presence that was tough for the Brother Rice opponents to match. Smith came 1 point short of a double-double, finishing with 9 and adding 12 rebounds. He also added 4 assists to his stat line on Saturday.

An elite rebounder and energy big, Smith is a physical force who can dominate a game from inside the paint on both ends of the court. Smith had six early points off putback layups, showing his ability to crash the offensive glass. Late in the game, Smith had a pickpocket steal that led to a slam dunk to put the game away for Brother Rice. Smith finished one point short of a double-double, ending the game with nine points and 12 rebounds.

Brother Rice battled to a tough win against a very good Stoney Creek team. Smith certainly helped in the win. He was very tough on the boards, helping to limit as many possessions as he could. Smith finished the game with 11 rebounds. He also added 7 points.

The growth of Smith and his game was very apparent on Monday at the DZone Showcase. The strength and power, especially in his legs has always been there. But Smith’s feet, movement and comfortability looked so much improved. He was a constant factor on the glass and was able to score down low with clean looks at the rim.
