City lost a bulk of their backcourt production from last year’s team, which means Thompson’s opportunities should be plentiful. He’s a sniper from deep off the catch and with the guards around him that can create drive-and-kick situations, he should benefit with a few key shooting performances this season as the Knights gear up to protect their state title. Thompson has also shown capabilities of playing on the ball and setting the pace when called upon, but his bread is buttered letting it fly from deep whether he’s coming off pindowns or rotating around the arc to free himself up in a passing window.
