About TJ

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am a member of FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) and involved in my church youth group. I am also a member of SEA Literacy, the main component of this club is heading to the center to socialize with, and tutor refugees students. We also hand out clothing to the needy or homeless, specifically high school students.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I try to set a good example. I am much more of a quiet leader than a vocal one, although I am working on that.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I was the only freshman to make the Varsity team at Brookfield East, the 1st week of bball I broke my LEFT fibula and tibia and was out all season. As a sophomore during tryout week I broke my RIGHT fibula and tibia and was out again. Been tested extensively, changed nutrition, scans and ex-rays, met with top specialists at the REDS clinic and have worked so hard to come back. I WILL NOT GIVE UP

What type of college are you looking for?

Thought a lot about playing in college when I was younger, now that I'm a healthy upperclassman, I'm going to make it become a reality.
