Bennie is an explosive guard whose athleticism immediately jumps off the page. His quick first step allows him to get downhill in a hurry, and once he gets into the paint, he’s an exceptional finisher. Time after time, he converted difficult, acrobatic layups that left defenders with little chance to contest. His ability to change speeds and attack the rim makes him one of the tougher guards to contain. Bennie has the athletic tools and offensive ability to develop into a next-level player.

Garcia played an instrumental role in helping the ABC Young Lions capture the title in the 16U championship bracket of the Wisconsin State Tournament. The bouncy combination guard had 13 points in a hard-fought, low-scoring 43-37 win over River City in the semifinals. He saved the best plays of the day for near the end of the contest as he made a three-point basket, slammed home a breakaway and then finished another layup, all in the final minutes of the contest. Garcia handles the ball well, is a good passer and can score at all three levels. He also has very good length, which allows him to get into passing lanes for deflections and steals.

Garcia’s a guy that can take over a game at any moment. That showed for ABC Young Lions 16u in their game Saturday morning. They had a slow start, but he led them on an 20-2 run shortly after. His skills with the ball are superb. As a scorer, he finds a way to score effectively from all three levels. Had 12 points in the first half with the high scoring just 13 at the time. Became a highly effective passer as the game went on. Also loved pushing the tempo in transition. 6’3″ point guard is an impact player.

Bennie adds to a depth of talented young guards coming up at Brookfield East. He impressed on Saturday with ABC Young Lions as a creative ball handler who could create shots on his own or for his teammates. Bennie was excellent out in transition as his decision making and the timing on his passes were spot on. If a teammate was open, Garcia was going to find them with an accurate pass that increased their chances of scoring.
