A true floor general who led the comeback against Folsom. Carter had four steals in the second quarter alone and sped the pace up in the second and third quarters. Once the Huskies gained control late, he slowed the tempo and managed the game. Tey finished with 15 points, 7 assists, 6 rebounds, and 5 steals. Complete performance from the senior guard.

plays with a big heart and an edge that shows up every possession. He’s tough, competitive, and consistently makes winning plays. Carter is a blur with the ball, especially in transition, where he finishes well around the rim with either hand. His work ethic is evident in his shooting—he can really shoot it and you can see the improvement year over year. Carter is also a natural playmaker who’s comfortable pushing the tempo and leading a locker room.

He’s coming into his own as a point guard from Sacramento. He sharpened his point guard skills against quality competition this Spring, and Summer. He has quality handles, vision to involve others with his passing. He can settle the offense up top. He can score using a burst from different angles, often getting into the paint for different finishes. He’s a good defender with energy, and foot speed.

was impressive in Anaheim, turning heads with his explosive play at the point guard position. The 6-foot floor general from Sheldon High is an absolute blur with the ball, yet plays with remarkable control despite his blazing speed. Carter consistently put pressure on the defense throughout the weekend, whether in transition or even off of a made basket. Tey forced defenders scrambling as they back-pedaled, guessing which direction he was going. Watching him in the open court is a joy; he changes pace effortlessly and attacks driving lanes with precision. One of the highlights of his game is his ability to jump from outside the lane and finish with finesse, putting english on the ball to score on the opposite side of the rim.
He’s such a treat to drive with his quickness and creativity with the ball that opposing coaches may eventually try giving him space, daring him to shoot. But even then, I still feel he can get to the rim if he wants. Carter can shoot the ball from the perimeter, but with a first step like his, he’s able to put more pressure on the defense by penetrating. Whether he’s slashing to the basket or spotting up from the perimeter, he’ll be a headache for opposing defenses.
