Griffin has elite handles, keeps the dribble alive to find open players or holes in the defense, the court vision and decision making to find open teammates off the drive and kick pass, to his bigs out of the pick and roll action, cross court to open shooters, or up the court in transition to get ahead of the defense. Griffin has active hands on defense, quick lateral movement, and the timing to poke the ball out, deflect passes, or jump passing lanes to turn defense to offense, moves smoothly off the ball, finds his shot spots, and is accurate with the 3-ball off the catch.

His speed, change of direction off the dribble allows him to create shot opportunities for himself and others. He gets to his spots for clean mid-range jumpers, can wiggle his way to the basket, finish in different ways, can drop a 3ptr in rhythm with a dribble. He brings a willingness to defend.
