Whitfield is a creative point guard. He’s a little smaller right now but should grow quite a bit. The ball-handling was very solid when watching him in the early afternoon. But he also flashed an ability to attack the rim and crash the boards. Something you don’t need much from a guard. Plays with a lot of energy.

Whitfield is a 5’9” lead guard from Bolingbrook that is a tiny guard with legit game. He had several spin moves getting to the rim and is a capable shooter.

Puts himself in the right spots to finish around the rim. Did so on multiple occasions during first game of 5’s. Runs the floor for breakaway buckets and will push after d boarding. Will make drive and kick reads to set teammates up for success. Defensively contributed with a couple deflections. Overall I thought played with a solid understanding within flow of game.

Quick trigger release. Handles it with confidence as another ball handler on skilled overall team. Can mix it up going off the bounce on his shot. Shooting skills are sufficient and is comfortable in different areas of the floor. Overall had a positive effect on both games Saturday helping team to a 2-0 start to tourney.
