The Tune Up: More Skilled Guards

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Prep Hoops Illinois was in Batavia, IL on Saturday and Sunday at The Tune Up. The Prep Hoops Circuit was back in action for a shortened 4th of July Weekend and teams took the court from across the Midwest. I had the opportunity to watch teams compete in the classes of 2029 - 2031 with a few games from the class of 2027. In the previous article, we took a look specifically at combo guards from the class of 2031. Solid ball handler with a toughness demeanor. Got into rhythm off the bounce right away to start and did not let up the rest of the way. Finished with multiple runners in the lane over size. Knocked it down from range smoothly as well. Changed speeds to create space and then made his move. A real live shooting clinic. Had 33 within flow of offense and was in rhythm from all angles. Hit 4 3's, 9 deuces either off the bounce or catch from short or mid-range, and did not miss from the charity stripe. Shot was pure the whole game. Played hard diving for loose balls out of bounce and overall had a hustle and grit demeanor. Handles it with confidence as another ball handler on skilled overall team. Can mix it up going off the bounce on his shot. Shooting skills are sufficient and is comfortable in different areas of the floor.
