Stephen Mayernik Stephen Mayernik 6'4" | SF Woodson | 2027 State VA had one of the best performances of the weekend in Woodson’s rout over Potomac. Watching Stephen shoot the ball is a beautiful thing to watch. He has a quick, compact form with no wasted motion. He has effortless range, and at 6’5, he has nice size for a wing. He did almost all of his damage as a spot-up shooter, but he has more to his game. He had a nice move where he put the ball on the floor and spun into a mid-range fadeaway. If this game were more competitive, Stephen probably woulda finished in the 40s instead of 34. He did it efficiently as well, going 10/12 from three.

One of the top shooters in the state, Mayernik posted a career high 34 points including 10 three point field goals earlier this month in the Champions Classic at South Lake. The junior has good size and a high basketball IQ. He should be a popular name with college coaches in search of shot making wings this spring and summer.

Mayemik showed one thing, is that he is wired to score the ball. He was terrific in creating off the dribble, finding ways into the defense, finishing over and around defenders, and knocking down shots. He will be a name that you hear a lot more this year. Stephen possesses a good feel, aggressive driver that gets to his spots and scores fluidly off the pull-up or in the paint. Assertive and impactful despite playing this weekend for the CBG Elite team.
