About Shema

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

6’4 point guard with a play style such like Shai Gilgeous Alexander, who is a 40% shooter from 3 with a high volume at every level he played.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

A killer mindset you can see through his bold eyes that you wouldn’t want to be against but love to play with, as he has very relatable traits and a funny personality off the court being easy to connect with teammates.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Shema Rubona played for Team Thads 15u team on the EYBL circuit last year, and plans to play again on the circuit again this upcoming summer, but might be on another team. Shema Rubona also won the leading scorer award (32.6 PPG) back in February 2025 in the NCSSAA back in his hometown Ottawa Ontario.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Playing for Chicago Prep on the Grind Session as a sophomore point guard, Shema Rubona developed leadership skills, such as strong communication, loud play setting.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

The intriguing guard has battled through adversity playing great teams on the Grind session but is known to bounce back.

What type of college are you looking for?

Shema has his eyes on receiving offers from Kentucky, USC, and Alabama
