College coaches were inquiring about this 6’7″ forward from Cathedral High School after his performance in their dominant 80-49 victory over Evansville Bosse. Gatlin is long, athletic, and very mobile at his height. He scored by making a couple of catch-and-shoot three-pointers with a smooth release, attacking closeouts to his right hand, and using his length to finish at the rim. The unsigned senior is a versatile player on both ends of the floor.

Gatlin has long been known here at Prep Hoops Indiana and is even pretty highly ranked due to his extremely high upside, but he probably is a bit of a new name to everyone else across the state. The versatile 6’6″ wing has burst onto the scene though this spring playing with Ty Harris Elite 2024 on the UA Rise Circuit. He can attack closeouts and finish at the rim, is capable as a catch-and-shoot threat, and is switchable on the defensive end of the floor. An under-the-radar name for college coaches to take a look at in the coming months.
