The Fighting Irish played without sophomore wing Keaton Aldridge Jr Keaton Aldridge Jr 6'4" | SF Cathedral | 2026 State IN . who was dressed but had a big brace on his right knee. However, they certainly didn’t miss a beat as they dominated Christel House from start to finish to advance to the Indianapolis City Tournament semifinals. Cathedral jump out to a 15-2 lead and went on to tigger the running clock with a 35-point advantage midway through the third period.
Junior forward Aidan Hughes Aidan Hughes 6'3" | SF Cathedral | 2025 State IN led all scorers with 19 points while senior Sheldon Gatlin Sheldon Gatlin 6'7" | SF Cathedral | 2024 State IN added 17 points and junior Lebron Gough Lebron Gough 6'1" | PG Cathedral | 2025 State IN chipped in 14 points as Class 4A #7 ranked Cathedral moved to 11-1 on the season.
Crispus Attucks 83 Cardinal Ritter 57
University of Indianapolis signee Ron Rutland III Ron Rutland III 6'1" | SG Crispus Attucks | 2024 State IN scored 23 points to propel Crispus Attucks into the Indianapolis City Tournament semifinals with a dominant 83-57 win over Cardinal Ritter. Junior point guard Chris Hurt Chris Hurt 5'11" | PG Crispus Attucks | 2025 State IN continued his strong season finishing with 16 points and 6 assists. Mason Lewis Mason Lewis 5'9" | PG Crispus Attucks | 2024 State IN , a senior guard, chipped in 11 points.
South Bend Riley Notches Another Win
South Bend Riley has now won five straight to improve to 15-3 on the season. They defeated South Bend Clay 81-43. Bethel signee Payton Baird Payton Baird 6'5" | SF South Bend Riley | 2024 State IN finished with a team-leading 21 points while Mancell Hill added 14 points and Marvin Schindler Marvin Schindler 5'9" | PG South Bend Riley | 2025 State IN scored 13 points. Tyrese Jones Tyrese Jones 5'11" | PG South Bend Clay | 2026 State IN led all scorers with 26 points in the loss for Clay.
Canterbury Defeats Huntington North
There is no record more deceiving than Canterbury’s 3-7 mark. The Class 1A school always plays a very, very difficult schedule to prepare them for tournament time and they just recently got 6’8″ senior Tucker Day Tucker Day 6'7" | C Canterbury | 2024 State IN on the court. It was Day who led the way with 12 points on Thursday night in their 55-43 win over Huntington North. Don’t be surprised if this group starts to rip off some wins down the stretch this season.
Lake Central Remains Undefeated
The Indians held off a furious late comeback attempt by Valparaiso to remain undefeated at 13-0 on the season with the 63-58 victory. 6’6″ senior forward Jake Smith Jake Smith 6'6" | PF Lake Central | 2024 State IN led Lake Central with 22 points while Xavier Williams added 15 points. Junior guard Jack Smiley Jack Smiley 6'2" | PG Valparaiso | 2025 State IN led all scorers with 23 points in the loss for the Vikings.
Jimtown Takes Down South Bend Washington
Don’t look now, but the Jimmies have won four of their last five games with the lone loss coming by four points at Penn. Dylan Fey Dylan Fey 6'4" | SG Jimtown | 2025 IN finished with a double-double of 20 points and 10 rebounds to lead Jimton to a 53-42 victory over South Bend Washington on Thursday night. Javen Jackson Javen Jackson 6'0" | PG Jimtown | 2025 IN added 12 points. This team is proving they will not be an easy out in Sectional 19 come tournament time.
