Despite not having his best shooting day, Ryder was still able to help lead Westminster Catawba to a win in Columbia. Once he realized his perimeter shots weren’t falling, he adjusted well and began attacking the basket and getting out in transition. Henderson can finish around the trees at the rim or over them with runners and floaters, but it’s the threat of his shooting that consistently creates open lanes for him to drive. He also has a good feel for making the extra pass on the perimeter and dumping off to his bigs. Ryder finished with 24 points and 4 steals in the win over Hammond.

Henderson is running with PSB Elite Walker this summer, and he’s had several impressive games throughout the season so far. Ryder has grown a few inches since I’ve last seen him, now listed at 6’2″, and it certainly gives him a boost when shooting contested shots. Along with his shooting off the catch, Henderson was given some ball-handling responsibilities in the game I watched this weekend, showing he can be more than purely a spot-up threat.
